Our Approach
When helping our clients develop a communications strategy, we lay the foundation in five areas that impact effective communication:
- How people think — We borrow from marketing principles and neuropsychology to
create messages around emotional appeals and rational responses.
- How people act — We use behavior change techniques and change management concepts
to accelerate acceptance of messages and get employees to take action.
- How people use information — We determine when to “push” information at
our audiences, and when people can be expected to “pull” information (such as from a website).
- How to reach people — We identify proven techniques to help us map out audiences,
communication vehicles and timing.
- How people learn — We apply adult learning concepts to aid in planning for
communication vehicles and timing.
Where possible, we use research results to finalize the strategy — and to adjust it mid-course.
Our People
Our team is comprised exclusively of experienced professionals —
we do not hire inexperienced consultants and then “train”
them on our clients’ projects. Nor do we have a sales
force. The consultants with whom clients initially work remain
embedded in a project and do the writing themselves. We believe
communicating is a skill that improves with experience and
cannot be “pushed down” effectively.
